Did you Know?

Bienvenidos and welcome!  I am Mr. Jason Miller, and I teach at Oak Canyon Junior High in Lindon, Utah.  I have made this website for all my students and their parents or guardians.  On this beginning Welcome Page I will put general announcements, things I find interesting, and so forth.  There is also an extra credit section here that I will update periodically, so it's a good idea to visit my site often!
You will also see 3 tabs next to Welcome, one for each class that I teach.  If you click on the tab for your class, it will take you to that class page.  Class pages contain valuable information about what goes on in class each day and reminders about homework, projects, and upcoming tests. There is also a slideshow of funny pictures. I hope this website is useful to everyone.  I will do my best to keep it updated and current.  If you have any specific questions, please email me at jasonmiller@alpinedistrict.org . Muchas gracias and thanks.

Extra Credit - www.duolingo.com

Duolingo is a free online site for learning a foreign language.  It is also a free app.

Students need to register with an email and then they can begin working on extra credit!  There are many units and each unit is broken down into lessons (usually between 3-5).  For every 3 lessons a student completes, he or she can receive a 5 point extra credit certificate.  Students can do as many as they want!  Extra credit can be used on tests, quizzes, projects, homework...even on fixing zeroes in the past.  The only thing it can't be used for is for any oral assignments or tests.

To prove to me that the student has completed lessons, he or she can show me on their phone, print off the lesson completion page on the computer, or even bring me a parent note signed and telling me how many lessons were completed.

Good luck!
